DIY Invitations

Minneapolis is a great place to live while wedding planning because of The Paper Depot. The Paper Depot is a haven for brides looking to create DIY invitations. They will create a free mock-up for you and walk you through the supplies you will need for each invite. After ordering your paper through them, you can use their die cutting machines for free. Our DIY pocketfold invites are $2.04/each for everything - pockets, insert cards, glue, tape, ribbon, envelopes, and extra paper to provide to our printer. Here are pictures of our mock-up (Opal Stardream pocket, sage green envelope, matte ivory invitation sheet, and sage green/ivory insert cards):

Etsy Monograms - from the shop "goodpaper"

After trying to design our monogram in Powerpoint, I decided my limited skills would not give me the look I was going for. After a long search on Etsy, I stumbled upon the goodpaper shop. Goodpaper has some really beautiful and classic designs for very reasonable prices - I bought these monograms for $6 each! You receive 4 monograms for $6 - 2 large and 2 small versions to use in different types of projects, 1 set in color and 1 in black. I ordered the first one to use on the outside of our pocketfold invites. The second monogram has our married initial, so I will use it in paper projects for the reception.
