October 25, 2008 - We're engaged!
One sunny, cool fall morning, Mike suggested we take a walk somewhere outside the city. I thought this was a great idea, so he started to google places to go. We drove to a nature preserve area outside of Minneapolis and started our walk. It was a beautiful, peaceful place. I started to suggest we turn around and head back to the car. Mike stopped me, hugged me, and began to tell me how much I mean to him. Shortly after, he proposed! He almost knelt in goose poop but it was perfect :). I was surprised because he was so calm that morning. He told me later how he had gone earlier in the week to scope out the park and find a place to propose - sneaky.

The bling!
Mike & I went to look at rings last June. I picked out a few settings and he did the rest. It's everything I wanted - a round center stone with two trillion cut side stones, set in a thin platinum band.
